Key Features:
- Versatile Operations: The multiport valve allows you to filter, backwash, waste, rinse, or recirculate your pool water as needed.
- Universal Compatibility: The MPV can be fitted to most standard swimming pool sand filters, making it a highly versatile piece of equipment.
- Easy Installation: The MPV features glue-in inserts, making it quick and easy to fit to any standard pool sand filter.
- Robust Construction: Crafted from durable materials, this MPV is designed to withstand the harsh pool environment.
Operation:
- Filter: The pool water is pumped into the filter, trapping sediment and dirt in the sand bed and returning only clean water to the pool.
- Backwash: The pool water is pumped into the filter, dislodging dirt and particles in the sand bed, which are then washed down the waste line.
- Rinse: The pool water is pumped through the filter down the waste pipe. This position is used immediately after backwashing to rinse and settle the sand before switching back to filter mode.
- Recirculate: Water from the pump will bypass the filter sand bed.
- Waste: The pool water is pumped through the MPV directly to the waste line, bypassing the sand bed. This position can be used when the pool has a large buildup of dirt and leaves.
- Closed: The MPV is closed off, and water from the pump will not pass through the filter. This position should only be used when cleaning the primary strainer.
NOTE: Always turn off your pump before moving the handle on your MPV to switch positions or settings to prevent damaging the gasket in your valve.
